SMK Awards 2026: And the winners are…!

Posted on: 20 Jun 2026

Each year, SMK celebrates the best campaigns and campaigners with their National Campaigner Awards.

Their interest is in finding those who have made change happen – most effectively, creatively, and courageously.

The winners in the ten categories were announced at a ceremony at the University of Westminster in June.

JRRT is thrilled to sponsor the David & Goliath category, which is all about the ‘little guys’. It celebrates individuals or small campaign groups that take on much bigger organisations and challenge vested power.

And the winners are…!

Scotland for Decrim, a grassroots organisation dedicated to achieving the full decriminalisation of sex work in Scotland by rejecting the Nordic Model.

The campaign began as a small collective of current and former sex workers, academics, third sector workers, and trade union representatives; which grew into a group of 70+ people sharing a vision of a safer, decriminalised future.

Find out more about their campaign here.

There were loads of inspiring campaigning stories shared at the National Campaigner Awards ceremony, which you can watch in full on YouTube:
